Message from Ryan:

My personal passion is to be in service to individuals and families affected by addiction.  I have personal experience with the pain of addiction and I also understand that suffering can lead to happiness and success in recovery.  My professional life has expanded to include an academic and scientific understanding of addiction and substance use.

I have learned that many current addiction and substance use treatment models are not sufficient.  As individuals we are also vastly more complex than presenting symptoms.  Thus, my approach to treatment includes attention to the complexities and layered contexts of addiction.  I have found the most effective treatment is created through client collaboration.  My approach includes facets of solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques.

I am a Licensed Social Worker in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College and a Master of Social Work from Temple University with a clinical concentration and specialization in mental health and substance use.
