When you have no idea what to do or where to go, when family and friends may not understand… I can help. Many of my clients are the loved ones of someone struggling with alcohol or substance abuse.  Most people don’t know where to begin, what to do, or what not to do.  I will help you learn the difference in a clear and practical way while providing answers to your questions. If you have found this page, you still have hope -- this is very important. Let me help you hold on to the hope you have and find the calm within the storm.

Alcoholics never have to drink again, those with ED's have to eat every day no matter what is happening in their life or how they are feeling about themselves and their body. This makes recovery even more challenging, but there is hope

Lisa Silk is a Licensed Addiction Therapist and Substance Abuse Counselor specializing in Addiction and Eating Disorders in Ardmore, the Main Line and Philadelphia

My personal and professional passion is helping individuals and families suffering from addiction. In 1999 someone told me, "There may be a greater reason you had to suffer so deeply." I heard this in a way I never had heard before. And so I felt if I could help someone else get out of the pain and despair that comes with addiction, then my suffering would have been worth it. This has been my mission ever since.

Addiction is an insidious disease; substances promise solace but provide utter wreckage. This is often difficult to see and even when a client has acceptance of the nature of their illness, change can be more than difficult. Whether you are in recovery and struggling with a current life issue or with something painful from your past or if you think you MAY have a problem with drugs and/or alcohol, I can help.
